Special Warfare
Overview: Special Warfare officers lead joint forces in global access, precision strike and personnel recovery missions and seamlessly coordinate air, ground and inter-agency capabilities. This job classification integrates former Air Liaison, Combat Rescue, Tactical Air Control Party and other specialties into one officer position.

Specific Tasks:
- Ensure special warfare teams are organized, trained and equipped to perform core missions of direct action, special reconnaissance, personnel/material recovery, hostage rescue and other key functions
- Lead special operations forces conducting global access, precision strike and personnel recovery operations
- Leads special operations air traffic control, terminal attack control and command and control operations
- Leads special reconnaissance activities and personnel
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Commission as an officer in the Air Force Reserve
- Completion of an AFSPECWAR officer assessment and selection phase 1 and 2
- Eligibility for Top Secret security clearance
Training:
- For those without a prior military service commission, successful completion of the eight-week Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB, AL is required
