Weather Reconnaissance Loadmaster
Overview: WC-130Js normally carry a weather reconnaissance pilot, navigator/CSO, ARWO, weather specialist and loadmaster. The weather reconnaissance loadmaster collects and records vertical meteorological data using a parachute-borne sensor known as a dropsonde. It measures and encodes weather data down to the ocean surface.

Specific Tasks:
- Supervise loading and unloading of cargo, vehicles and people on the aircraft
- Preplan correct load placement and distribution to ensure the aircraft can fly safely
- Ensure that adequate restraints are in place to prevent the load from moving during flight
- Provide for passenger comfort and safety
Requirements:
- Physical qualification for aircrew duty
- Normal depth perception
- ASVAB score of 57 on General
Training:
- Candidates without prior military experience are required to attend 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training (BMT) at JB San Antonio-Lackland, TX; followed by Technical Training
